Amazing Raja Ampat & Banda Sea 14 days
Day 1 Ambon
Our staff will pick up at the airport and bring you to Aurora for immediate boarding. As soon as all the guests are on board, we will lift the anchor and sail to our first destination.
Day 2 Nusa Laut
South of Seram, fantastic diving experiences on the reefs of Nusa Laut. These rather picturesque islands of Maluku are popular dive destinations due to their diversity of reef fish species, ghost pipefish, frogfish and the variety of well-preserved hard corals.
Flash News: we have seen sperm whales in the area on previous trips, so keep your eyes wide open.
Day 3 Banda Neira
We will start the day in Pulau hatta / Karang hatta: We will dive both sloping reefs and vertical walls. The current attracts many fish: fusiliers, dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, barracudas and sometimes sharks. On the reef, soft corals, leather corals, big eye trevallies and turtles. For after move toward Banda Neira to enjoy a nice sunset dive in its harbour.
Day 4 Banda Islands
In the morning We will make a land excursion in this spices paradise to visit and learn more about the incredible history of this beautiful island. After that we will head to Pulau hatta / Karang hatta: We will dive both sloping reefs and vertical walls. The current attracts many fish: fusiliers, dogtooth tuna, eagle rays, barracudas and sometimes sharks. On the reef: soft corals, leather corals, big eye trevallies and turtles.
Day 5 Serua
Serua Island and Nil Desperandum (‘no despair’) takes its name from a ship, stranded on the reef. This are the hot spots to come across hammerhead sharks if you are lucky enough.
Day 6 Manuk, Snake Island
Manuk, the ‘Snake Island’, a volcanic island with lower interest on land. It takes its nickname from the large amount of sea snakes found there. You will surely see a lot! The drop-offs here are amazing and sharks, mackerels, tunas and barracudas are often observed.
Day 7 Suanggi
You will now arrive at the northern end of the outer reefs of the Banda Sea: Pulau Suanggi. The waters here are full of fish, reef sharks and tuna. As a small bonus for bird lovers, many species can be observed around the island: brown boobies, red-footed boobies and frigate birds. We will do 2 dives, and after head to banda neira island to enjoy a magnifecent night dive inside its small harbour.
Day 8 Koon
The small island of Koon has a vertical wall and a slope where the current curls, pushing schools of trevallies, batfish and barracuda in. Reef sharks are common, but the stars of the show are the giant groupers, the largest of which reaches a size of 3m! Quite exciting dives!
Days 9 to 11 Misool
So many Islands to visit and so many different dive spots. We will cruise around JILLIET, FIABAJET, WALIB, WAJIL, JEF PELE, MESENTA, BOO etc... The Aurora Crew will assure you as many dives as possible to completely appreciate this wonderful and beautiful area.
Day 12 Penemu
"Melissa's Garden" will be one of the dive sites during the morning. Huge reef with beautiful coral gardens filled with spectacular fish including Wobbegong sharks are the highlights here. Sea snakes, pygmy seahorses and huge tridacnaclams can be seen in the shallow waters. We will have the opportunity to step out of the boat for a walk to see the iconic view of Raja Ampat. Get ready your camara, it is selfie time !

To put the cherry on the cake we will enjoy some of the great dive sites in the area before we head to Sorong.
